wcmpnews

The Pine County Board will hold a public hearing on a cannabis ordinance on Aug. 6.

The proposed ordinance would regulate cannabis businesses and sales within Pine County.

The public hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Pine County Courthouse.

According to the draft ordinance, a fine of up to $2,000 will be incurred for each violation by a state-licensed cannabis business selling to a customer without valid retail registration.

Cannabis businesses would also be limited to the hours of 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The draft ordinance is available on the Pine County website. The public is invited to share oral or written comments on the measure at the hearing.
