Rush City man dies after two-vehicle crash in Isanti County

A two-vehicle crash on Highway 65 in Isanti County on Wednesday resulted in the death of a Rush City man.
According to a news release from the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a crash at Highway 65 and 305th Avenue NE in Isanti Township just before 4 p.m.
State patrol investigators say a northbound Ford F150 crossed over the median and collided with a southbound Toyota Corolla.
The Toyota driver, identified as 69-year-old Rush City man Martin Zaworski, was transported to Mercy Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Zaworski was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office notified the sheriff’s office that Zaworski later died due to his injuries.
The state patrol is investigating the crash.
The Isanti Police Department, Isanti Fire Department, Cambridge Police Department, Allina Ambulance Service, and MnDOT assisted at the scene.
