A Sandstone man was arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree burglary last week.
According to the criminal complaint, the Pine County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a fight in Hinckley around 1:30 a.m. on September 17th.
A male party was reported to have left in a Tahoe before law enforcement arrived.
Two campers were parked in the softball field, and the responding deputy initiated a traffic stop when a vehicle consistent with a Tahoe drove toward the field at a high rate of speed.
The driver, 25-year-old Dallas Roseland, said he was going to investigate the campers. The deputy observed that Roseland’s knuckles were bloody.
One of the campers’ occupants said he and a female party were sleeping in one of the campers when they woke up to Roseland standing over them, allegedly belligerent and intoxicated.
Roseland was told to leave multiple times, and did after physically assaulting both occupants. He returned and said he had a pistol in his pocket, and would shoot one of the parties.
The occupants got Roseland outside and attempted to lock the door and block the entrance to the camper.
Roseland allegedly slammed the camper door on the female party’s finger, and punched through the window of the door after accusing the male party of doing something involving his girlfriend.
He was also charged with felony level threats of violence, and misdemeanor fourth-degree damage to property.
Roseland was scheduled to make his first appearance in court on Monday.
