Randy Shimanski was appointed to a vacant seat on the Burnett County Board of Supervisors during a meeting earlier this month.
He takes over from Deb Mullen, who left the District 21 seat after a career change had her spending more time away from the county.
He was proposed by board chair Greg Taylor during a board meeting on January 19.
Shimanski was approved unanimously.
District 21 covers part of the northern section of Burnett county and includes the Towns of Webb Lake, Blaine, and Scott.
