Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures (MLCV), the business arm of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, recognized Pine County Commissioner Steve Hallan with the Community Partner Award (Eni-
wiidookaazod Inini).
The award was given to honor Hallan’s leadership in building government to government partnerships with the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe in many areas including economic development, social services, public safety, and transportation.
The award was presented on Monday, May 23 at the MLCV 1st Annual Mille Lacs Tribal
Economy Summit held at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs Events and Convention Center.
