Rush City hosted Barnum on Monday night.
Barnum brought in their high flying offense and stingy defense, and the Tigers brought their physicality. Rush City may have been the most physical team the Bombers have faced up to this point. The defenses were the talking point as the game began and really all throughout the 1st half. It was a very low scoring half, turnovers did play a factor in that, Barnum had 10 or more turnovers on bad passes alone. Sadly, for the Tigers they were unable to convert those turnovers into points. The game had kinda stalled early on with mistakes on both sides and the plethora of takeaways. But eventually the game fell into a rhythm, the Bombers began to hit some deep shots and while the Tigers struggled to answer from deep, they did find ways for some tough layups. But the Bombers extended their lead to double digits and lead at half 27-14.
The Tigers had a good turnaround to begin the 2nd half. They slowed the Barnum offense and had brought their deficit under double digits. If they could keep this momentum rolling they certainly had a chance to overtake the lead. But Barnum's offense soon figured a way around and once they got rolling they were tough to stop. The Tigers were able to answer with scoring of their own, matching the Bombers pace. But they could never get close enough to overcome the deficit and lost the game 62-44.
The Tigers will not play a game until January 6th at East Central.
