Traffic stop leads to pair of arrests in Hinckley

A traffic stop and K9 search of a vehicle in Hinckley on Sunday resulted in a pair of arrests.
According to a news release from the Pine County Sheriff's Office, a deputy conducted the stop at about 12:15 a.m.
K9 Flint was deployed to the scene, and alerted law enforcement to the presence of narcotics.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of two firearms and approximately 90 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Two Harbors resident Joshua Benvie and Zoey Lehtinen, of Grand Marais, were arrested at the scene. Both are being held at the Pine County Jail pending formal charges.
This case remains under investigation.
