Two Sent to the Hospital after Stolen Vehicle was Involved in Head-on Crash

Two people were sent to the hospital early Monday morning following a head-on collision in Chisago County.


According to the Wyoming Police Department, the crash happened at 6:00 a.m. when a stolen vehicle driven by a 22-year-old Stacy man crossed the center line on Forest Blvd north of Downtown Wyoming and struck a vehicle driven by a 46-year-old female.


The vehicle driven by the Stacy man had been stolen from a Shafer residence two hours earlier.


The crash caused the Stacy man to be airlifted to the hospital, and the woman to be taken to the hospital for evaluation.


According to Kare 11, there was no police pursuit at the time of the crash.


The Wyoming Police say that charges are pending for the 22-year-old.
