Thursday evening, Governor Tim Walz announced that he will be signing an executive order Friday morning that will end the mask mandate.
The news following a CDC mandate saying that vaccinated people don't need masks outdoors and most places indoors.
Walz announced last week that the mandate would stay in place until July 1, unless 70% of the state's population had at least one dose.
With the new announcement, Walz still urges Minnesotans to get their shots as we move out of the pandemic.
