Friday evening Welia Health announced on their Facebook page that they will receive a supply of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine next week.
Their facebook post reads:
"Just days after the emergency authorization of the first COVID-19 vaccine, Welia Health is pleased to announce it will receive an initial supply of the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine early next week. Following the planning guidelines from the Minnesota Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Welia Health will distribute these initial doses to medical personnel, with a priority on those directly caring for patients with COVID-19, starting Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
Welia Health recognizes that members of our community have many questions about the vaccine and those in development, their safety and efficacy, distribution, and more. While we don’t have all the answers right now, we have published a series of FAQs on our website to begin to answer your questions and address your concerns.
Rest assured, we will update this information as we know more. In addition, once guidelines for broader distribution of the vaccine are finalized, Welia Health will announce a roll-out plan for vaccinating our community members.
