In their Thursday meeting the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Association voted to amend the start dates of their fall sports.
The vote passed 8-3 in favor of allowing lower risk sports (Cross Country, Golf, Swimming and tennis) to begin August 17. While higher risk sports (Football, Soccer, and Volleyball) will not start practice until September 7th.
They added, "If districts opt not to participate, a spring opportunity will be provided. Details TBD."
