Yehlik Verbally Accepts Position as Pine City High School Principal

The Pine City School District has announced that Laura Yehlik has verbally accepted a position as the High School Principal.

Yehlik was one of two finalists, with Todd Googleye being the other finalist. She has worked as an Assistant Principal for the Minnesota Virtual Academy and taught for 15 years as a high school science teacher for Chisago Lakes.

She will be filling a position left empty by Troy Anderson. He, along with Assistant Principal Beth Allen, resigned from their positions earlier this year.

The district is still working to fill Allen's position. She is moving to take over an empty physical education spot at the Pine City Elementary School.

The Pine City School Board is expected to approve Yehlik's contract during its meeting on May 16.
