PRESS RELEASE On October 17th at 12:45 am Pine County deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of 1st St. SW in Hinckley on a report of shots fired. Deputies were unable to locate anyone who had been shot in the area. At 03:15 am Burnett Medical Center in Grantsburg called to report a person in the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the leg. A deputy responded to speak with the victim. The victim, a 25 year old male, reported he was shot in Minnesota but had no further information at that time. The victim was later transported to a hospital in the Twin Cities. Investigators met with the victim for follow up. It is believed the gunshot victim was in the area of the shots fired complaint, but further details are unknown, to include a suspect.
