A 53-year-old Isanti man was killed Sunday evening after he was ejected from his motorcycle.
Authorities were alerted to the crash at 6:34 p.m. by a passerby who found the body of Tad Demmon lying in the ditch unresponsive near the intersection of 249th Ave NW and Zion Street NW in Stanford Township.
According to a press release by the Isanti County Sheriff's Department, deputies investigating the crash learned that Demmon was traveling westbound on 249th Ave. NW when he went off the road as it curved north to Zion Street. The motorcycle then rolled, ejecting the driver.
CPR was performed on Demmon at the scene before he was airlifted to the hospital where he later died.
Assisting at the scene was Isanti Fire District, Allina Health EMS, St Francis PD, Isanti PD, Minnesota State Patrol and Isanti County Safety Rescue.
