One is in custody after an 18-month-old boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition Monday
According to the Braham Police, officers responded to a residence on the 200 block of Beechwood Avenue S just after 1 p.m. for a report of an infant in medical distress.
Officers provided medical aid to the boy until they were relieved by paramedics.
During an interview with law enforcement, the caregiver could not give an explanation consistent with the severity of the injuries sustained by the child. The suspect was later taken into custody for further investigation.
The infant was transported to the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis with grave injuries.
This incident is still under investigation.
