This Monday, the Pine City Area Chamber of Commerce and WCMP will be hosting a virtual forum for Pine City City Council and Pine City School board candidates.
The chamber has helped host a candidate forum for several past elections, but with COVID-19, community involvement is a little different this year.
"Community engagement is what's so important with the candidate forum," Executive Director of the Pine City Area Chamber Becky Schuller told WCMP. "In the past, we've been able to offer the forum in a live format, so people have been able to submit a question to a group of moderators to ask of the candidates."
Instead of submitting questions in person, they can be submitted anonymously via a Google form on WCMP's website. Questions can be submitted until the day of the event.
The forum will be held on Monday, October, 26, at 6:30 pm. It will be live-streamed on Youtube, Facebook, and on FM 106.5/AM 1350.
An archive will also be saved for those who cannot watch it live.
