Pine City Firefighters Donate Polaris Side-by-Side

The Pine City Council was presented with the donation of a 2023 Polaris side-by-side by the Fire Department.

The UTV comes with tracks and tires and will be outfitted with the fire department's rescue skid unit. Fire Chief Tom Miller said the new equipment will allow firefighters to efficiently rescue people in different conditions.

It will also be equipped with emergency lights, EMS equipment, an AED, and spinal immobilization equipment.

The equipment was donated by the Pine City Fire Department Active Firefighter Membership through funds raised during events like Fire on the Snake, gun bingo, and gun raffles.

"This isn't all that the fundraising funds," said Miller. "It also includes recruitment and retention expenses, retirement gifts, and other equipment for the firefighters to use. The Pine City Fire Department Active membership would also like to thank the people who support our fundraising activities."
