From the Pine City School district:

The Pine City School Board members met with their Ray & Associates Consultant from 4:30 to 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 19th, to review stakeholder and survey data before studying the materials of the eight applicants suggested by the firm. Each of the 26 initial

applicants were vetted by Ray & Associates; more background checks will be done for the finalists listed below:

- Joshua T. Anderson, Director of Communications and Technology North St. Paul/Maplewood/Oakdale School District

- Kenneth G. Gagner, Superintendent Braham Area Schools in Braham, MN

- Donita Stepan, Superintendent Thief River Falls, Minnesota

- Dr. Cindy Stolp, Interim Superintendent and Community Ed. Director Pine City, Minnesota, Public Schools

All four have been contacted and have accepted interviews tentatively scheduled for May 31st and June 1st. When asked what attracted them, numerous applicants cited the Pine City location.

Director of Teaching and Learning Nichole Laven will be coordinating "meet & greet" activities for the four finalists plus tours for those less familiar with our school and community. The Board expresses gratitude to students, staff, and community for input in this process.
