Dragon Girls Tennis Head Coach Kristen Unverzagt gives us a look at some pre season matchups went for her squad. The girls tennis season is off to a fun start with our first day of match play in St. Peter.  The pres-season matches are a good opportunity to try different line ups and gain experience.  The girls have high goals to build off of from last season.

Hinckley hosted Moose Lake on Monday night. It's not often we see town ball on Monday but this was a league game that held some priority. This was the first game for the Buzz in about 2 weeks, on the other side, for Hinckley, this was their 3rd game in 4 days.

Hinckley hosted North Branch on Friday night. The Nighthawks came into the night a half game behind 2nd place in their division. So a win could help them overtake that spot. On the other side, Hinckley had come in having won 5 in a row and sit a game and a half behind the top team in their division.

Hinckley hosted East Bethel on Wednesday night. The Knights came into the game as the 2nd place team in their division, with Quamba close behind. The Bandits were in the middle of their division but came in having won two in a row.

Hinckley host Ogilvie on Tuesday night in an Eastern Minny League contest. The Knights were looking to hold on to their 2nd place spot in the division, while the Orioles were hoping for their 4th league win.

The Knights hosted Sauk Rapids on night one of the Hinckley Invitational. Dylan Marciulionis got the start on the mound Friday night. Early on the game felt like it was going to be a defensive battle, and it didn't take long to prove that to be true.

The Knights hosted Ham Lake on Wednesday night. For Hinckley this was the 2nd game in a 24 hour span, something they normally don't do. There was certainly some fatigue coming into the game. Confidence was still high though as they welcomed in a team who had yet to win a game.

The Hinckley Knights hosted the Nowthen Knights on Wednesday evening. It was a battle of the Knights, as each team of course looked for a win. But both came in at different points in their season, Hinckley having played 9 games and won their last two, while Nowthen had only played 2 games and lost both.

The Dragon Trap update from George Johnson. Pine City High School Trap Shooting Team Competition Week 5. The final week of competitive shooting for the Pine City Dragons Trap Shooting Team brought cool temperatures and light winds.

Hinckley-Finlayson baseball hosted East Central on Friday. Just the day prior the Jags had a game postponed due to rain and poor field conditions. Although it was still raining these two teams were not going to have this game moved. And so these teams took the field despite the cold and rain.

The Tigers played two games on Wednesday, the first vs Mora and the second vs Ogilvie. The Tigers had a chance to once again capture the conference crown, but would need to win both games. Having already played two games to start the week, they would need to push through some fatigue.

Braham softball hosted Rush City on Tuesday. The Bombers were looking for the season sweep over the Tigers, while Rush City was looking for a big win on the road. A big conference matchup for both teams, a win for the Bombers meant they were one step away from becoming conference champs, a win for the Tigers would tie them at the top with the Bombers.

Hinckley-Finlayson hosted Carlton-Wrenshall on Monday. The Jags were coming off a week where they won a game by over 20 runs and beat the #1 team in the conference in Aitkin. This week was the last week of the regular season, and they needed a few more win to help better their section standings. And it all started against Carlton-Wrenshall.

Here's the update from Coach Johnson. Competitive Shooting Week 4 Results Record warmth and sunny weather greeted the Pine City High School Trap Team on Mothers’ Day. Shooting trap this day was kind of like a “kids make breakfast for mom” buffet; it was hard to predict just what you were going to get. Targets floated and dove and danced in all directions in the gusty 30 mile an hour wind. In spite of the challenges, shooters again performed well.

The Bombers softball team hosted Ogilvie on Friday. In what was the start to a busy weekend for the Bombers, they were looking to keep their hold on the top spot in the conference. The Lions were coming in having won 5 straight game and 7 of their last 8 and were looking to improve their section record.

Pine City's baseball team hosted Milaca on Thursday afternoon. Both teams came in feeling like they have yet to play a complete game. Both were fairly good on defense, but the offenses have struggled to get things going. This was an important game for both as it was a section game as well.

The Jaguars softball team hosted Aitkin on Wednesday afternoon. The Gobblers came in as the #2 team in the section and the top team in the conference. While the Jags were coming on a three game losing streak, but also feeling like they had yet to play their best ball.

Coach George Johnson shares the teams recap of their week 3. Competition Week 3 The Pine City High School Trap Shooting Team was blessed with bright blue skies, temperatures near 80 degrees, and light winds for the third week of competitive shooting.

Coach Johnson gives us an update on the Dragons trap team. Competitive Week 2, April 27, 2025 Sunday found the Dragon trap shooters facing cloudy skies and tricky winds. In spite of the less than perfect conditions, the team shot well.

Braham welcomed the Jags on Tuesday. The Jags 1st inning didn't go well. After only getting one hit from the offense, the defense gave up 4 runs on 3 hits to the Bombers and found themselves trailing early.
