Jaguars Fall in First Round of State Tournament

The Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars' first trip to the state tournament ended with a hard-fought loss Thursday afternoon.

Despite hot shooting from multiple players and tough defense, the Jags fell 87-70 to the Russel-Tyler-Ruthton Knights in the first round of the tournament. Multiple times throughout the contest, H-F battled back to a single-digit deficit only to have the Knights surge ahead once more.

This isn't the end for the Jags however, as they'll play at least one more game, albeit in the consolation bracket. That first consolation game takes place tomorrow, Friday March 23rd at the University of Concordia- St. Paul. The Jaguars will matchup against Mahnomen-Waubun who lost to the #1 seed Mayer Lutheran.

Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 am and can be heard on 100.9 FM.
