Release from the Pine County Sheriff's Office:
On May 23rd at approximately 5:00 PM Pine County Investigators, assisted by our SWAT Team executed a search warrant at a home on Honey Bear Lane in Sturgeon Lake. The warrant was in regards to a case involving burglary and stolen property.
During the search of the residence officers located drugs as well as what was thought to be a homemade pipe bomb. The Crow Wing County Bomb Squad was called in to assist and disposed of the device.
Three people were taken into custody and transported to the Pine County Jail in regards to the warrant. Formal charges are pending at this time against the three.
