Track and Field
The State Track Meet at Hamline University last week proved successful for the WCMP listening area athletes that were competing.
Pine City
The Dragons sophomore Alaina Steele improved off her 8th best time in the section meet. Steele ended up on the podium for the Dragons finishing in 5th place overall in the women's 800m run. This is an improvement from Steele's 9th place finish two years ago.
Mora
The Mustangs placed second as a team in the Class A track meet with many of their competitors having individual success as well.
Cal Wright is the most notable winning the 400m run, taking 2nd in the 200, and 3rd in the 100m.
Braham
Hanna Cornelius placed fifth in the 400m run for the Braham Bombers.
East Central
Jace Schutt placed sixth for the Eagles in the long jump.
