The Pine County Sheriff's Office will be holding a notification meeting on Tuesday, September 10 at 6 p.m. at the Pine County Courthouse to answer questions regarding level 3 sex offender Howard Lawrence Wanna Jr. move to downtown Pine City.
On August 28, Wanna moved to a residence on 2nd Avenue SW. According to the Pine City Pioneer, Wanna's last sexual offense was in 1996 but was arrested in 2014 when he failed to appear during a routine check from his supervising agent.
The fact sheet posted by the Pine County Sheriff's Office condemns the use of this information to threaten, harass, or intimidate an offender and such acts could be charged as a crime.
