Burnett County boat landing to temporarily close for reconstruction

A Burnett County boat landing will close for reconstruction starting July 21.

According to a notice from Forest Recreation coordinator Susan Tollander, a project at the Devils Lake boat landing in Oakland Township (four miles northeast of Webster) will install a new boat ramp, pave the driveway, and replace a 50-year-old restroom building.

The closure is expected to last 45 days.

Tollander said part of the parking area will close starting July 16 to allow for staging space for project equipment. Limited access to the boat ramp will be available through July 20.

The notice states that the work marks the final phase of a multi-year project to renovate the landing.
