The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office has released the names of the three individuals who were found dead at a residence in Fish Lake Township on Sunday.
Authorities say that 73-year-old Darrell James Mattson, 68-year-old Denise Lillian Mattson, and 47-year-old Kirk Patrick Mattson all died of homicide due to multiple gunshot wounds, and the weapon was not found at the home.
According to a press release, a person of interest in the shootings was located deceased at a separate location on Saturday, March 4.
Their name will be released once preliminary autopsy and family notifications are completed by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Chisago County Sheriff's Office says the Brunswick Road shootings were not a random incident, and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
