Hinckley-Finlayson Superintendent Leaving in June

Hinckley-Finlayson Superintendent Rob Prater has announced that he will not be returning when his contract expires in June.

Prater started with the district as the High School Principal in 2006 and became the Superintendent of the Hinckley-Finlayson School District in 2011.

Prater says that he's leaving so he and his wife can move closer to family.

"The past 16 years has been an amazingly positive experience for me professionally and my family," Prater wrote in an update. "We have enjoyed this school and community. It has been my great privilege to be a part of the Jaguar community."

The school board will be meeting on Monday, January 31, to lay out their timeline to find the next Superintendent.

Prater’s contract with the Hinckley Finlayson school district expires on June 30.
