Hinckley man dies in fatal Highway 48 crash

A 63-year-old Hinckley man died in a fatal crash on Highway 48 in Barry Township on Wednesday evening.
According to the state patrol incident report, a 2021 Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound on Highway 48 near Wildlife Road around 6 p.m.
A southbound 1999 Ford F-150 on Wildlife Road failed to stop at the stop sign at Highway 48, and made contact with the other vehicle, causing both to go into the southeast ditch.
The driver of the 2021 F-150, identified as Hinckley resident Kameron Ellis, died in the crash.
The 1999 vehicle's driver, a 40-year-old Cambridge man, and two passengers were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A third passenger, a male whose identity has not been disclosed by the state patrol, was sent to HCMC with life-threatening injuries.
The Pine County Sheriff's Office also responded to the scene.
