A 21-year-old Foreston man is dead after drowning in an Isanti County lake.
According to the Isanti County Sheriff's Office, responders were called to Lory Lake in Maple Ridge Township on Monday afternoon. The caller said that the victim, Richard Arent, had gone out on the lake with a tube, and they spotted a tube and a body in the water.
Bystanders were able to get Arent's body onto the shore and begin CPR before responders could arrive. Deputies then continued life-saving efforts as they removed him from the shore and took him to the medical responders at a nearby boat landing.
Arent was taken to HCMC, via Life Link, where he was pronounced dead.
The incident remains under investigation by the Isanti County Sheriff's Office.
