Pine City Planning Commission awards recognize community contributions

The Pine City Planning Commission awards were presented in recognition of outstanding community contributions at the Pine City Area Chamber of Commerce banquet on Tuesday evening.
The planning commission reviewed nominations for the Business Site Improvement, Residential Site Improvement, and Citizen Planner awards at its Sept. 24 meeting to select the award recipients.
Froggy's Bar & Grill and Pine Electric were honored in the Business Site Improvement category.


Lucas and Nicole Anderson received the Residential Site Improvement award for 340 4th Ave. NE.

Troy Haug and Sheila Hughes won the planning commission's Citizen Planner awards.

Mayor Kent Bombard and city council member Dave Hill were on hand to help present the awards.

Nominations for the awards were open from Aug. 8 to Sept. 18, in partnership with the Pine City Area Chamber of Commerce.
